An overdue return

First post for quite some time, its great to be back and you just wonder if anyone is listening.... Helllooo out there? Well I'm here, I'm OK and keen to get back into reviewing lunches and the world that comes in between them. Sadly it is xmas time and with phenomenon like the school holidays free lunches evaporate like dry ice, but wait a sec that sublimes.

This weekend I have taken myself down from Christchurch to my Alma Mater to celebrate the success of my friends neuroscientist and cricket fan extraordinaire Prof Dave Grattan, bridge maniac and western expert Dr Jeremy Kennard and java jiver and unipol employee of the month Dr Mustafa Dameh.

For the neurosci fans out there I am really sorry that iheartbrains.org hasn't been launched yet. I own the domain name now all I need to do is  write my first ever webpage. I would love any tips or tricks if web savy folks would be keen to share.

Here is a tid bit for you. A bunch of nice folks in Kyoto have developed a method for using a fMRI (thats functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, see wiki its coool) signal to generate an image of a perceived image. This is the first time it has been done convincingly and is a stepping stone towards the ability to generate images of imagined images..... chew on that for a while.
